Q: Do you travel? What are your travel rates?

A: Yes! I travel for the majority of my sessions and weddings. I charge a small travel fee at the federal mileage rate of $0.57/mi outside of a 100-mile radius of Grand Forks. For elopements and intimate destination weddings, I have a separate pricing guide, and all travel is already included in each package.

Q: How long will it take for us to get our photos?

A: For regular sessions, my turnaround is 3-4 weeks for the full gallery and weddings are 7-8 weeks. I always aim to deliver a preview with a few sneak peaks within 3-5 days of the session, though!

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I'd describe my style as emotionally-driven and journalistic. I love sitting back and letting people connect and interact without a lot of posing. I am deeply inspired by light, movement, and form and take an artistic approach to telling my couples' story in a way that represents them well, but also tells the narrative of how their day unfolded.

Q: What happens if rain is in the forecast for our wedding day?

A: We embrace it with open arms and show stress to the door. For the reasons I listed above, I think that accepting your day as unique and imperfectly beautiful is so important. Everyone's day is different, and we can get really dreamy portraits out in the rain. Of course, a light sprinkle will affect us differently than a downpour, so we may need to shift some outdoor portraits to after the ceremony, as well as find a couple of beautiful spots indoors where the natural light is peaking through. If you know there is a potential for rain, I recommend ordering clear umbrellas from Amazon or Target; one per couple is plenty! Having a spare pare of shoes and stain remover for your dress are also helpful for post-outdoor fun.

Q: Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings?

A: Not only do I shoot them, but they are some of my favorite days! I love the relaxed and stress-free nature of smaller gatherings, and have a separate packages + pricing guide for elopements and intimate destination weddings.

Q: How much do your wedding packages cost?

A: I have a full Packages + Pricing Guide for both traditional weddings and destination elopements, so if you fill out a submission form here, I can send that over and answer any other questions you may have! My packages start at $2,500, though, and all packages include an engagement session and second shooter.

Q: Can we add on additional coverage/customize a package?

A: Absolutely! I know that the standard 6/8/10 hour packages don't always fit everyone's needs, so extra hours of coverage can be added at a rate of $250/hr.
